"engaging the faith community in ending homelessness in Grand Rapids a few families at a time"

Welcome

Thanks for visiting our site. Have a look around and learn more about how Greater Grand Rapids Interfaith Hospitality Network (GGRIHN) is making a difference in our community. Find out more about how IHN works and how you can help. If you'd like more information, contact us.
Highlights

- GGRIHN brings local congregations together to offer shelter, meals and support to families without homes right here in the Grand Rapids area.

- GGRIHN can offer help and hospitality to up to 5 families at a time. Last year we provided food and shelter to over 59 families. 83% of these families successfully moved into permanent housing.

- GGRIHN emphasizes keeping families together during a difficult time in their lives.

- GGRIHN represents good stewardship of community resources as it makes use of existing buildings and an extensive network of volunteers from our participating congregations.

- GGRIHN increases awareness and puts a face on homelessness for over 1000 volunteers a year.

- GGRIHN is one of over 140 similar networks across the United States associated with Family Promise, a national organization dedicated to helping low-income families achieve lasting independence.
