"engaging the faith community in ending homelessness in Grand Rapids a few families at a time"
2008 Golf Marathon

Once again, dedicated golfers will take to the links to play in the 5th annual Interfaith Hospitality Network Golf Marathon. The Golf Marathon is set for Monday, September 22 at The Highlands Golf Club, a beautiful, Donald Ross designed golf course right in Grand Rapids. This event is critical to IHN as it is our biggest fundraiser.

In the Golf Marathon, golfers try to golf 100 holes in one day. How do they do this? A few special rules help:

  • IHN golfers are the only golfers on the course, no waiting.
  • If you do run into another group, you can just skip to a different hole.
  • Putts within a club length are considered 'gimmes'.
  • On par threes, golfers play 2 balls from tee to hole and count it as 2 holes played.

If you don't think you can play 100 holes, no problem! We've had golfers golf anywhere from 18 to 150+ holes. The important thing is to raise pledges and have a fun day on the golf course.
